Une Normande à Londres is run by Franck and Yann Leblais, originally from Normandy. They work with a team of dynamic cheese
sellers coming from all over France (Savoie, Paris, Britanny,...)
A bit of history...
It all started in 1990 in France. Franck Leblais decided to follow the steps of his father in law, Philippe Meslon, who had one of the last independant Camembert AOC manufactory in Normandy. Franck set up his own company to distribute these products directly to the dairy shops in Paris.
During this time Franck launched his own shop in Lisieux Normandy. He had training with Roland Barthelemy, a famous cheesemonger in Paris, and was introduced in the Confrery of St Uguzon (International cheese association).
In 1997, Franck asked his brother Yann, 5 years younger to join him in the business. They started their first market in London (Bricklane) travelling every weeks from France to England. After one year, in 1999, they decided to set up in England and to develop their business in London. Today Franck, Yann and Cedric( the youngest brother) work together and they sell cheeses in about 10 different markets in London.
